Dermasology®️ is proud to be one of the few medical tattoo art studios in Connecticut that accepts insurance for qualifying procedures.

We work closely with Medical Tattooing Billing Services (MTBS) to help ensure coverage.

If you're considering areola & nipple micropigmentation, you may be eligible for insurance coverage.

Insurance Coverage: A Simple Process

We partner with Medical Tattooing Billing Services (MTBS) to help ensure coverage. They’ll help you:

Insurance Benefits

MTBS will work with you to determine if your plan covers medical tattooing.

2. Manage Your
Pre-Authorization

MTBS work directly with your provider to secure approval.

3. Handle
the Claims Process

MTBS will submit and manage your insurance claim on your behalf.

A representative from MTBS will be in touch to confirm your benefits and discuss the next steps.

  • Most insurance plans cover medical tattooing for reconstructive purposes, such as:

    • Areola & Nipple Micropigmentation after mastectomy

    • Scar camouflage for surgical or trauma-related scars
